Spiderlord

I know the title of this blog may scare some of you, but this is a name of a band. My friends band. They have such a distinct sound; it is metal/rock music but it different from anything else I have ever heard. My friend, James, is the singer and main guitar player. He is so talented but and he doesn't even know it. He is the most modest person when it comes to his music, more humbled then any other musician I have ever met. I have seen them play once and I was blown away by their stage presence and their confidence in their music. Everyone in the crowd cheered and loved the show. I can not wait for them to play again so that I can go and support them. Spiderlord is constantly working on new music and I think they are set to get signed with a record deal really soon. I wish all the best for them and believe that they have something new and exciting to bring to rock music. The ride they are about to embark on will surely bring some serious head banging to metal lovers around NY.

Three Days Grace....

Music is everything. It can change your mood, can inspire you and it can move you emotionally and physically. It is truly a wonderful feeling when you connect to a sound, song, melody, or beat. To reference my first blog, Chris Cornell is a genius, and his voice moves me. This blog I will focus on another band that I enjoy very much, they are called Three Days Grace. I was looking for upcoming concerts on Ticketmaster and to my delight they are going to be playing a show in New Jersey.  I have never seen them in concert so it will definitely be a great show for me. The first time seeing a band play live is always exciting. In relation to Chris Cornell, they have a harder sound and much more rock/metal then Chris Cornell; although they are comparable and in somewhat of the same genre of music as Audioslave. This time I was determined not to miss out, I wanted tickets as soon as possible before they sell out. I asked my friend Wendy and she agreed to go with me. I got the tickets, it will be an exciting night and I am looking forward to finally seeing Three days Grace live in concert.
